Factory Reset
With the charging case lid open, press and hold the setup button for around 15 seconds until the status light flashes from white to amber. This is also the perfect time to connect to AirPods in case that might be new.
Reconnect Your AirPods
With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, hold your AirPods close to your device. Follow the instructions that pop up on your screen.
With Android, you will have to manually connect your AirPods. Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth. Connect with your AirPods when they pop up.

To reset AirPods Max, hold down the Digital Crown and Noise Control button for about 20 seconds. This will disconnect them from your device and reset them.
Reconnect Your AirPods Max

For Android users, go to Settings, click on Connections, and then Bluetooth. Find your AirPods Max on the devices list. If you cannot see your AirPods Max on the devices list, press the scan option and bring your AirPods closer to your device.
